Confession: I am a 37 year old woman and I have never (not even a little bit) read Anne of Green Gables.

What a whirlwind it’s been since I attending the Magical Media Retreat in Anaheim, California. I wanted to sit down and write out a few things about the retreat and my takeaways. There is so much to cover so I’m going to break it into two parts. So here goes…

Picture this: you are browsing around the bookstore, library, Amazon (wherever it is you find your books…) and instantly you stop in your tracks. You have found the most beautiful cover you have ever seen.

It’s that time of year again! I am for sure a Valentines procrastinator. I’m usually the mom on Feb 12/13 walking around Target, desperately trying to find some Valentine’s card that is 1. enough for all the kids in class (x3) and 2. with recognizable characters that aren’t hideous.

Confession: I only buy pretty books. So much so my husband told me I need to stop buying books because they look good (there were a couple of picture books that weren’t great but they look great on the shelf 🙃).
